Barry Toser - President & Co-founder

Barry Toser has over 25 years experience in the telecommunications industry, and he is currently the President of TNT Advisory Group, a business development and consulting firm that assists in the growth and expansion plans of telecom and technology companies.

Prior to founding TNT, Barry was the Chief Executive Officer of Mobilians International, an early stage company in the M-commerce and mobile payments space. Previous to Mobilians, Barry was Executive Vice President & General Manager of the Telecom Services Division of Transaction Network Services (TNS), a leading provider of communications services for transaction-oriented applications. Under Barry's direction, the Telecom Services Division nearly tripled its revenues.

Before joining TNS, he was Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing and a Board of Directors member for GlobalNet International, an emerging telecommunications carrier. Previously, Barry was Vice President of Global Carrier Services for Destia/Viatel where he successfully expanded the Company's operations in North America and Europe. Barry also served as Vice President and General Manager for AlphaNet Telecom, a carrier-to-carrier VoIP organization based in Toronto, Canada. His first position in the international carrier market was as Vice President of U.S. Sales for Teleglobe International. Before joining Teleglobe, he directed sales, marketing, and customer retention activities for Cable and Wireless, from 1987 through 1995. Barry also spent six years in sales, sales management, and marketing management at Sprint.

Jody Toser - Executive Director

Jody has over 20 years of experience in the Telecommunications, High Tech, B2B, B2G, Association, Real Estate, and Non-Profit industries. She has brought her marketing and sales talents to companies like Sprint and IBM. Her diverse marketing knowledge and her ability to multi-task have resulted in achievements and successes from non-profit organizations to Fortune 100 companies.

Jody was a founding Board Member of the TelecomHUB beginning in 1999, where she established the HUB's executive management processes. After a break of five years, where she served as a marketing strategy consultant, she returns to her position with fresh ideas and enthusiasm.

While at IBM's Government Division for nearly a decade, in addition to her award winning sales achievements, Jody established branding programs for the Networking Product Division's government clients, supporting major bids and product introductions.

As a marketing consultant, she has worked for various organizations in the areas of competitive assessment and strategy research, corporate messaging, branding, events, market research, fundraising, mentorship and collateral production.

With a passion for community service, Jody has served on boards and in leadership positions for organizations including the Orphan Foundation of America, Girl Scouts of the Nation's Capital, McLean Bible Church and her children's schools.

Jody has a B.S. in Business Administration/Marketing from Virginia Tech.

Jose A. Cecin, Jr.

Jose A. Cecin, Jr. is Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer for RCN. Mr. Cecin, has been a member of RCN's Board of Directors since April 2009, serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and leads RCN's Residential/Small Business segment. Most recently, he was founder and President of Lumina Advisors. Prior to forming Lumina, Mr. Cecin was Managing Director and Group Head of the Communications Investment Banking practice of BB&T Capital Markets. In 1999, he co-founded and served as Chief Operating Officer of Cambrian Communications. Mr. Cecin also co-founded Wave International, an emerging markets telecommunications infrastructure company that built a triple-play telecommunications company in the 5 largest cities in Venezuela. He also served as Managing Director of Corporate Development at Bell Atlantic Corporation (now Verizon). Mr. Cecin is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Arbinet Corporation and a Director of SkyTerra Communications. From 2004 to 2007, he was an independent Director of NEON Group, Inc., subsequently acquired by RCN Corporation. Mr. Cecin earned a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from Stanford University. He also served as an officer in the United States Army's 25th Infantry Division.

Rick DeRose

Rick leads a corporate culture with a shared mission of recruiting high impact leaders that have a measurable impact to a client's ROI. His personal clients have included some of the world's most notable market leaders including Cisco Systems, Nextel Communications, Sprint Communications as well as fast growing mid-market leaders including Paetec Communications, Sterling Commerce and Global Consultants, Inc. Under Rick's guidance, the Wharton School of Business has recognized the Technology Executive Group on multiple occasions as one of the fastest growing companies in the Philadelphia/New Jersey region.

Prior to starting TEG, Rick spent a decade of various leadership positions at British based Cable and Wireless Communications. Rick currently oversees all functional segments within TEG including the development of business practices, search execution process, corporate marketing, finance and corporate administration. Rick is an active member of several local and national executive technology committees as well as an active board member to 3 local technology companies. Rick's primary charitable interests include Food for the Poor, The AJ Fund, and the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Rick has earned an MBA from Drexel University and a BS with Honors in Accounting from St Joseph's University. Rick and his wife Colleen reside in New Jersey and have 2 children.

Dave Dobel

Dave Dobel is a co-founder and principal of NextStep Partners, LLC, a management consulting firm that helps emerging and established companies develop strategies for commercializing and profiting from communications and IT technologies. His expertise was gained at several start-ups that grew into industry leaders including: telecommunications (MCI, IDB Worldcom), Internet (UUNET, DIGEX), fixed wireless (Winstar), satellite (Orblynx, Inc) and information technology (Data Systems & Solutions). Mr. Dobel has extensive experience developing business plans, marketing tactics and motivating teams to capture market share in both new and established markets.

Mr. Dobel has an undergraduate degree in Business from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the College of William and Mary.

Jeff Ganek

Mr. Ganek has served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer at NeuStar since December 1999. Prior to joining NeuStar, he was Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Communications Industry Services (CIS) at Lockheed Martin, an advanced technology company. CIS, which was divested from Lockheed Martin in 1999 to form NeuStar, provided clearinghouse services to the telecommunications industry. Ganek holds a bachelor's degree in economics and a master's degree in public policy and management, both from Carnegie Mellon University.

Carl J. Grivner

Carl J. Grivner is Chief Executive Officer of XO Communications.Mr. Grivner's career in telecom and technology spans more than 25 years. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Global Crossing. Prior to joining Global Crossing in June 2000, Mr. Grivner served as Chief Executive Officer of Worldport Communications and before that, he served as Chief Executive Officer, Western Hemisphere, of Cable & Wireless PLC. Additionally, Mr. Grivner has held various senior executive positions at Advanced Fiber Communications and Ameritech. Mr. Grivner began his career working in sales at IBM. He also served in the United States Marine Corps from 1975-1978. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Lycoming College.

John J. Heitmann

Mr. Heitmann is a Partner and a founding member of Kelley Drye's Telecommunications Practice Group. Mr. Heitmann's practice focuses on representing service providers and users in regulatory, appellate, litigation and transactional matters involving a broad range of communications law issues.

Representative Experience:
Represents companies in proceedings before the Federal Communications Commission and state public utility commissions. Mr. Heitmann has extensive experience in and regularly advises clients on regulatory policy, interconnection, compliance and enforcement matters.

Represents carriers in interconnection negotiations, arbitrations and dispute resolution proceedings before state public utility commissions and arbitration panels. Mr. Heitmann has appeared before more than a dozen state public utility commissions and multiple arbitration panels.

Represents carriers in state, federal and appellate litigation involving telecommunications-related issues. During the past two years, Mr. Heitmann has prevailed in multiple cases before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 4th and 11th Circuits. Mr. Heitmann also has cases pending in several federal district courts.

Represents companies in transactional matters involving the procurement of telecommunications, telecommunications capacity and facilities. Mr. Heitmann advises companies on contractual and compliance matters associated with telecommunications, information and technology service contracts.

Joseph B. Hoffman

Joseph B. Hoffman is a Partner in the law firm Kelley Drye & Warren LLP where he is Chair of the Commercial Practice Group in Kelley Drye's Tysons Corner, Virginia and Washington offices. Mr. Hoffman is a business lawyer with special focus in telecommunications transactions. His practice encompasses a wide variety of issues confronting telecom and technology companies. He advises on purchase and sale of assets and companies as well as financing transactions, including venture capital, equipment leasing and executive compensation matters. He also represents investment companies, real estate developers, lenders, venture capital funds, emerging growth companies and thoroughbred horse industry interests with respect to various corporate, financing, real estate and tax matters. Mr. Hoffman received a J.D., with honors, from George Washington University National Law Center and a B.S., cum laude, in Accounting and Finance from the University of Maryland. He is admitted to the bar in Virginia, District of Columbia and Maryland and U.S. Tax Court.

Ed Staunton

Ed Staunton is a director of Wireless Services for Verizon Partner Solutions the wholesale arm of Verizon Telecom. He is responsible for directing sales and marketing efforts in the wireless market space. His team provides wholesale services that enable the emerging wireless market to establish network capability anywhere in the world Verizon has assets.

Ed began his career with ITT in 1975 providing international date services to customers in financial markets. In 1988 he joined Sprint and directed efforts to position their services in the early government FTS contract. Ed later joined MFS in 1992 and secured one of the original NSFNet contracts for internet peering while deploying fiber throughout the government as a competitive response to ILEC service for Business and government. While with MFS he served in a variety of key management positions of increasing responsibility for MFS, including, VP-Government Sales/Marketing and, Director of Wholesale Markets-for MCI.

Ed holds a B.S. degree from John Carroll University in Cleveland. He resides in Potomac, MD with his wife Joanne, and his daughter Sarah, and son Christopher.
